Ubisoft: The Division

About this project

Ubisoft, a multinational video game developer and publisher, needed a unit that would build anticipation for the The Division’s strategic, open world game release. I worked independently to conceptualize and design visual assets that used gameplay UI features to inform and entertain users as they experience a sneak peek of the apocalyptic New York City environment. The unit would provide game info and a cinematic trailer that could be activated using simple gestures.

Throughout the experience, the user can explore panoramic scenes by utilizing the gyroscope functionality on their mobile device. The user would also have access to a beta code at the end of the engagement, where they can choose to share the beta code landing page with a friend.

A lot of exciting research and image manipulation went into this visual mockup. I can say that I am well-versed in the game’s narrative and experience, without ever playing it.
